Live for Adventure Race

This community adventure stage race is held in late spring at the Apple Bowl and Triangle Park in Wenatchee. The event raises money for kids' education, athletics and scholarships in the Wenatchee Valley. Participants, ranging in age from 10 years to 90 years, tackle three stages: Cardio, sport skills, and strength/agility.
 

 

O'Terry's Softball Tournament

August 18 & 19, 2012 at Walla Walla Point Park in Wenatchee and Kirby Billinglsey Hydro Park in East Wenatchee. A 40 team, 5 game guarantee co-ed softball tournament in its 37th year that attracts teams from all over the Pacific Northwest.  This is a benefit tournament, with proceeds distributed through the Wenatchee Valley Sports Foundation. .

Coaches of Inspiration Awards

The Coaches of Inspiration Awards program recognizes coaches of all sports and levels who give countless hours to help and guide young people. The next awards program will be in the spring of 2013. More details to come as they are finalized.

Special Olympics Washington

The Winter Games in the Wenatchee Valley is the culmination of Special Olympics Washington's winter season. Approximately 1,500 athletes (along with their coaches and parents) converge on Wenatchee and Leavenworth each March to compete in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, basketball, and figure and speed skating.
